Immediately after your admission in the hospital, please inform the doctor and the nursing staff about any medicines you may be taking. Such personal medication must be handed over to your relatives or nurses for safekeeping. Taking any medications on your own, other than the ones that the nurse in charge administers to you can put your health at serious risk, even if they have been prescribed by a specialized doctor.
Medications include but are not limited to simple painkillers (aspirin), laxatives, nasal or eye drops and medications for chronic diseases. Your relatives should also not take any initiative in regards to your medication.
