Acceptance / Rejection of Presentation
The Scientific Committee will review all submitted abstracts. Selected abstracts
will be presented as Oral or Poster presentations. Authors of abstracts accepted
for presentation will receive notification and information regarding their
presentation, by September 4, 2006.
All selected abstracts will be published in the Abstract Book of the Meeting.
Oral Presentations
All authors will be informed in writing on details concerning their exact
time of presentation. The scheduled time of each presentation is 8 minutes
plus 2 minutes discussion.
All Meeting Halls at the Athenaeum Inter-Continental Hotel, will be equipped
with slide projectors for single or double projections 50 x 50 mm slides
(24 x 36 mm transparencies), overhead projector, screen, Data video projector
for PowerPoint presentations, PC for the speaker’s podium, laser pointers
etc.
Poster Presentations
Posters will be gathered, numbered and listed according
to the Scientific Committee’s instructions.
Posters will be affixed, discussed and removed on the dates and at the times,
which will be communicated to authors. Posters Size: Maximum width: 85 cm, Maximum
Height 150 cm. Only scotch tape and self-adhesive pads are allowed.
Speakers’ ready
room
A preview room with a slide reception desk for acceptance
and checking of slides and PC floppy disks will be located near the Meeting
Halls. All slides and PC disks should be clearly labelled with the author’s
name and the respective session. Slides must be 50 x 50 mm in plastic mounts
and should bear an indication of the correct direction of insertion. Speakers
are kindly requested to hand out their slides or their PC disks at least
2 hours prior to their respective presentation.
CD of Abstracts
A CD containing all abstracts and a list of Authors in
alphabetical order will be distributed to all registrants when they collect
their Meeting kit, at the registration desk.
Certificate of Attendance
A certificate of attendance will be given to each registered participant,
during Meeting.
CME Accreditation
The 4th International Meeting
of the Onassis Cardiac Surgery Center is
seeking accreditation from the EACCME and the AMA.
Scientific Awards
Awards for the best Oral and best Poster Presentations will be sponsored by the Alexander
S. Onassis Public Benefit Foundation. Candidates for the Awards should belong
to a Residency or Fellowship program, should be first authors and should have
performed most of the work presented.
