The Land of History & Culture
Greece is considered to be the cradle of Western Civilization, the origin of literature, philosophy and science, the birthplace of democracy. It is hard to imagine what civilized life would be like today without the influence of Ancient Greece. It is hard to imagine what the world would be like without the Medicine of Hippocrates, the geometry of Euclid and Pythagoras, the logic of Aristotle, the unique architectural style which has influenced architects all over the world. Let us not forget the impact of the Olympic Games, with their spirit of world- peace and brotherhood, first conceived and organized by the Greeks. Greek language has enriched other languages with words like philanthropy, harmony, music, sophistication, architecture, ecology and thousands of others.
Diversity and continuity, light and mysticism, mountains and bays, sea and light. Greece of harmony and contrasts. Greece of the Parthenon, of the Gods of mount Olympos. Always different, yet the same, small yet inexhaustible, friendly yet proud, simple yet magical.
Culture, history, science and the current economic development are factors leading travelers to the Greek capital.
